How many times have you read a news story that says something like “Classroom teachers say that standardized testing is harmful and counterproductive, but economist Joe Schmoe says the opposite”?
How many times have you read “Economists agree that the proposed tariffs would stall economic growth, but 3rd grade teacher Jane Doe disagrees”?
That the two don’t both seem equally absurd is a big problem.
